Annie A is the one-off collaborative project of Félicia Atkinson, Time is Away's Jack Rollo and Elaine Tierney, Christina Petrie and Maxine Funke. It is an exploratory composition reflecting upon the forces of nature, the fragility of ecology and the surrendering of self to air, rain, and earth.
ドイツの伝説的なテキスタイル作家のアニ・アルバースから取られたユニット名を持った、相互に敬愛するアーティストたちの二度と無いかもしれないコラボレーション作。一曲を除きすべての曲はFélicia Atkinsonによって作曲・録音・プロデュース。すべてのアレンジはTime is AwayのJack Rollo & Elaine Tierneyが担当。役割を明確にし、Atkinsonのささやく声とハミングのような歌に自然界の音、Time is Awayの精緻な音響構築、詩人Christina Petrieの語りが繊細な強度で幾重にも織り重なっている。風の通り道に立つような研ぎ澄まされたアンサンブル。ラストを飾るMaxine Funkeの楽曲にも柔らかく包まれます。 (足立) (LPのコメントから参照)
