"Burning Out" is Natascha Polké's most delicate yet confronting tune. Starting off sparsely, her
voice finds its way under your skin instantly. Warm chimes effortlessly lead the way and tie in
simmering synth pads that keep building steadily. Spinning in melancholy this production has its
own mind, grows at its own pace and takes just the right amount of time to do so. Come the
second verse, lush and subtle vocal harmonies find their way in naturally, producing a purposeful
momentum before the first chorus kicks in with a beat that starts to drive things forward. But even
when the track is lead by the refreshingly decisive groove, an air of melancholy underpins every
move and motion. Wonderful organic samples give this track a strong sense of identity, the
balance between a fleeting, chilling atmosphere and intimate honesty makes it a roll out to which
you'll want to surrender.
