Aprapta Music's first release of 2019 is from Ramona Yacef and includes a fine remix from Basti Grub. Paris based Yacef belongs to the We Play The Music We Love crew and has released on labels like Celo Rec, 324 Records, Baile Musik and more, while Kerri Chandler is also a fan. The opener Enceladus is a deep, absorbing house number with well crafted kicks rolling with dub warmth. Icy hi hats and snappy chords join the mix to make this a slick bit of dancing music. The always hard to predict. Basti Grub remixes with his intricate groove, flipping the cut into a superb bit of minimal with wood block hits, watery droplets and alien vocals all getting under your skin. Le Soleil is the next original and is a hard hitting bit of stripped back house. It?s perfect for those cosy clubs and late night moments, with the bare elements all making a real mark. Last of all, Milky Way closes out the tasteful EP with another paired down house track that is all about supple and subtle synth lines, barely there rhythms and late night hypnoses, while the chords add soul. This is a killer EP once more from this leading underground house label.
