Biotop kicks off 2017 with the first remix pack off Mathias Schaffhauser's infamous Diderot album.
The Diderot Reworked EP contains two remixes by very good friends of the label and two bonus dub
versions by Mathias himself.
Barcelona-based Venezuelan Garnica reworks Return with his typical space funk attitude, retaining
most of Mathias' vocals while adding beautiful pads and harmonies. Berlin-based Spagat Music
boss Haito delivers a dubby techno-version of Enlightenment (In The So Called Wrong). Using only
the original's vocal snippets, Haito's mix is considerably more rough and reduced than the original,
with his trademark triplet stabs intersecting with hypnotic dub chords. These two exceptional
interpretations are complemented by Mathias Schaffhauser's stripped down dubs of both tracks.
Diderot Reworked will be released in January, complete with delicate mastering by Werner
Niedermeier and a beautiful cover design by Anina. More information at: www.biotop-label.net.
