Michael Warren, formerly Ziggy Heroe, protagonist in YBA artist Harland Millar's rite of passage novel Slow Down Arthur, Stick To Thirty returns after a 25 year recording absence. His ship-board employment as casino Head Croupier currently in abeyance, his balancing act between being both a character in fiction and an actual person, undisturbed. Casting a glance aft and a gaze to the horizon Warren presents Untold Tales Of Ziggy Heroe.

The temporarily land bound Warren has cut and dealt an eclectic and choice selection of original songs and cover versions, reflecting the breadth of his musical influences. Held alongside Warren's long suit; the existential-angst side of lounge ballads ('Hotel', 'And We Were Lovers'), these encompass off the beaten track Bowie/Bolan ('Sell Me a Coat', 'Dreamy Lady' and the Bowie-enters-TwilightZone stylings of 'Things And Ideas'), English music hall ('The Umbrella Man'), Hispanic romantic sway ('Statue And Ghost'), a hearfelt, faux-naive, paean to the late Diana Rigg ('ABC, ITC, Oh la la') and uptempo post punk ('The Amazer'), mixed in with the wilder cards of '70s retro doo wop ('Neon Lights'), '50s Spy Theme ('Norman Way Enters The London Victory Club') and the spoken word, children's tv-esque, haiku ('Holiday').

Untold Tales Of Ziggy Heroe, led by Michael Warren's expressive baritone voice, is produced by Keiron Phelan (Peace Signs, Smile Down Upon Us, State River Widening), including his guitar and flute contributions and Arranged by pianist extraordinaire, James Stringer(Peace Signs, Hilbert Space) with indie luminaries Ian Button (Papernut Cambridge, ex-Death In Vegas) and Giles Barrett (Tigercats, Tasha V, Moebius Delta ) providing rhythm section. Featuring Jenny Brand (Peace Signs) on clarinet and critically acclaimed new-folk harpist Brona McVittie, with saxes by composer Nick Samuel and the Guildhall School's Sophie Burrows.
Untold Tales Of Ziggy Heroe creates a portal to a parallel world wherein Tom Jones hit No.1 with a version of 'The Man Who Sold The World', Marc Bolan lived into old age, Brian Cant became a pop star, Marvel Comics Jack Kirby supplanted Roy Lichtenstein, Leeds' Warehouse nightclub eclipsed Manchester's Hacienda and the empty fourth plinth in Trafalgar Square will forever be occupied by a statue of Mrs.Emma Peel.
