Four Flies presents the first digital remastered version of the 1975 library music album "Immagini e colori - Bitter Sound", the second of two non-commercial LPs with the same title containing pieces intended for use in TV, radio and film. The 10 instrumentals in this release are credited to “Bitter-Sweet Group”, one of the many monikers of prolific Italian composer Giacomo Dell’Orso, most of whose many library releases used the pseudonym Oscar Lindok. Clearly influenced by psych rock and beat music, they feature energetic rhythm sections, distorted electric guitars, frequent Hammond passages, and acid synth sounds. At the same time, there is a distinctive Italian quality to both the melody and harmony of the compositions, which makes this album a precious little gem in vast universe of Italian library music.
