As well as running Tiff's Joints, Poison Zcora is an active member of a variety of London's musical communities, including being a part of London's Touching Bass collective and playing in the band Lunch Money Life. His production debut last year on Astral Black's Frass FM V received critical acclaim in publications like Mixmag and Stamp The Wax and airplay on stations like Radio 1 Dance, NTS and Worldwide FM.
The Mainly Incompetent 5 is Poison Zcora's debut EP, consisting of three dancefloor focused tracks in varying styles. '54 Broadway Send' is dark broken-beat odyssey with hardbodied drums clattering against ominous bottom end. 'McGroogor Send' is a slightly more optimistic house number, complete with darting keys and swirling synths. The title track is the most subdued but possibly the most funky, as interlocking polythmic percussion bubbles along underneath a tight bassline and a variety of playful chords and melodies.
