One of the more experimental track from their recent The Magnificent 7s versions album, Spots of Time was described by BanBanTonTon’s Robert Harris as "...a kind of musique concrete of circuit chatter, industrial clank and collaged re-arranged words. Which seems to pay tribute to the original `50s beat poets as its syncopated rattle builds like the ghost of some great jazz drummer".
In 2019 A Man Called Adam returned with their acclaimed album Farmarama. Self released on their Other Records label and described as ‘beautiful Balearic popcraft’ (The Ransom Note), the album saw AMCA make a smooth re-entry and they began a remix series that gathered talent from around the globe. Combining established masters like Prins Thomas and new blood like Aleksandir, Carrot Green and Felipe Gordon with their own interpretations of the tracks, the remixes extended, expanded and breathed new life into the master recordings.
But with a reggae 7inch and one final 12inch in the series planned, lockdown happened with all of its uncertainty. So, responding to the lockdown limitations A Man Called Adam conclude their Faramarama Remix series with a deadly digital drop of magnificent unreleased 7s, versions and radio edits.
