Coming straight out of Bern / Switzerland the new signing to Inyan Music has been, although her name not be the most familiar to many yet, quite busy tweaking knobs in the studio and her first releases defo raised the attention of longterm players in the game like the American label King Street Records, one of the imprints on which Juli Lee is about to release in the future. But first and foremost she's about to hit the release circuit on Inyan Music with her new single ?Pitfall?.
Opening this EP with ?Nightgroove? we see Juli Lee introducing one very special facet of her musical palette. Whilst proggy influences are still evident, her focus clearly lies on a vibe meandering in between TechHouse and a bit of (Neo)Trance, bringing in a sweet'n'sexy groove as well as a simple, yet masterly crafted, slightly 80s reminiscing main motif for all those loving cinematic, blurred, large scale synths that go straight to your heart for a reason.
Following up we've got Inyan Music mastermind Mario Neha at the controls for a remix of ?Pitfall?, focusing on the deeper side of the musical spectrum and creating an ever floating, slightly dubbed out TechHouse layout masterly intertwining meldodic string layers, decent filters and coruscant piano lines for all those longing for the ultimate materialization of love and everlasting harmony.
With the title track ?Pitfall? the open minded studio geek serves her very own definition of a pumping late night track. Influenced by both TechHouse and the darker side of Prog echoing vocals and microscopic tweaks showcase Juli Lee's love for detailed production before the first break caters an epic piano surprise of most innocent beauty whilst a playful synth motif brings in an additional layer of positive vibes.
