On May 22, Helsinki's We Jazz Records presents "Ateneum 2019", part 2 of their ongoing "We Jazz Live Plates" series documenting the label's live activity. Recorded at the historic Ateneum Art Museum in Helsinki during spring 2019, the intense live compilation brings together three acts on the label's roster. The first track to be lifted from the album is a brand new composition by Alder Ego, a quartet led by drummer/composer Joonas Leppänen.
Mystic, modern and spiritual, the track echoes the loft jazz era and private press ethos, while keeping ahead of the curve in just the right way.
