"There's no time for feeling lonely, this malaise don't have to own you, you're too strong for that."

Pioneering UK Latin soul band, Grupo X return with "Kind Of Blue", the first in a series of single releases on Loft Recordings. Featuring legendary house/soul vocalist, Lisa Millett and an all-star line-up of UK Latin musicians, "Kind Of Blue" is an uplifting, soulful tune packing an Afro Latin punch. Lyrically, the song deals with overcoming isolation and anxiety; a familiar theme today.

The release also features remix, "Stand Up!", an up-tempo, percussion/vocal/brass/electronica take on the main track.

Founded in 1998 by trombonist/composer, Jonny Enright, Grupo X came out of the thriving London Latin scene of the time. Their early releases were championed by DJs such as Snowboy, Gilles Peterson and Bobbito Garcia and they were regulars at venues such as London's Jazz Cafe. Grupo X collaborated with Latin legends such as Jack Costanzo, Bobby Matos, Dave Pike, Jimmy Bosch and Joe Bataan in UK tours.

Grupo X have released 5 albums and had radio play from DJs including Craig Charles, Lauren Laverne and Huey Morgan (BBC6Music).

In 2007 Grupo X track, "Jonny's Bugalu" was licensed to the DSW Shoes TV ad, airing across the USA. More recently West Ham Utd licensed Grupo X track "Sunshine and You" for social media videos to announce new signing, Felipe Anderson, gaining over a million hits in the first 24 hours alone!
