This enigmatic new single is a potent reawakening of the band's sound and message, with Allysha Joy delivering the iconic mantra, "how dare you ever try to sell this spirit". In speaking to the song's themes she says, "I am expansive beyond another person's perception of me in spirit, in time and in music, beyond my own sense of self." Joy's deeply expressive vocal performance penetrates through the signature dance floor squared hyper funk of Melbourne's hardest working rhythm section. The tension is released as the track explodes into the powerhouse that is Josh Kelly on saxophone, effortlessly glidingover the rhythm sections' incessantly driving beat with this stunning counterpoint to Joy's iconic statement.
