Cy Gorman is a multi-genre, multi-instrumentalist, multimedia artist and producer from Melbourne, Australia. With this new single 'Hiwave', Cy (pronounced as in cy-borg or Si-mon) announces his forthcoming album of the same name, and perhaps even a new genre. So what is Hiwave? While the album will paint a fuller picture, here we have the sound of 70s/80s AOR/yacht rock/slow disco reprocessed through the nostalgic perspective of various internet electronica 'wave' subgenres (vaporwave, chillwave, synthwave, etc). In Cy's words 'it's a sensual neo-soul slow jam with extra lashings of saxy sauce and sparkling falsetto fizz.'
