Behind the moniker of Ezy Minus hides the creative and musical imagination of little-known Italian composer and multi-instrumentalist Enzo Minuti, who was very active in the Library Music scene between the '70s and the mid '80s.
Also known by other aliases, such as Cronomas, Maripal and Tony Barley, Minuti released many albums and compilations, most of which on the small Italian labels Kronal and Black Rock Records, for which he composed and recorded music in a variety of genres, from reggae to folk, to experimental and applied music, performing solo or with others.
Here, as the title clearly indicates, Minuti focuses on the dusty and sparkling Western mood we usually associate with the vibrant and tipsy atmosphere of a typical American saloon of the late 19th Century. Inebriated dances, funny chases and wistful hangovers are evoked by pulsating rhythms, airy accordion melodies and hectic mandolin phrasings.
