Gaijin Bluesfollow up their eponymous debut EP with “Professor Tatsuro Kensu”, a taster single from their forthcoming debut LP.
Their music and live performances have caught the eyes and ears of their electronic heroesRomareandAnchorsong. They opened forAnchorsonglast Autumn and will be supportingRomareat London’s Jazz Cafe onFriday July the 19th.
The name of the track gives us a small insight into the LP, it’s the name of one of the characters in an imaginary 16 bit JRPG video game. The LP is set to be the soundtrack to the whole game. Think Zelda soundtracks with MPC’s, live percussion and flutes. It’s a small taste of things to come.
Their last four track vinyl release got support from the likes ofBBC 6Music, NTS, Worldwide FM, KCRW, Nemone, Esa, Matt Black, Marcel VogelandMathieu Schreyer.
The debut LP “Gaijin Blues II” will be out this Autumn, with further UK live dates in the pipeline.
