Belgium based Matthieu Levet is a prolific performer* who debuted last year with a long playing record on Cold Moss. It was preceded by a couple of his noisy compositions released on tape labels such as [tanzprocesz] and Kerm. Carrageenan’s music is a mix of abstract electronic, techno and dub, with a variety of inspirations from Muslimgauze, King Tubby to Robert Ashley. His caustic jams on “Invisible Design” are filled with a contagious energy which will resonate with you long hours after the music is over.
