Ceephax Acid Crew aka Andy Jenkinson is a long established electronic musician who has been producing his own brand of quirky acid and electronica for over 20 years. Hard to categorise due to his unique style which covers genres such as Acid House, Techno, Jungle, IDM and Ambient, he has nonetheless been very influential and artists such as Aphex Twin have stated him as one of their favourite artists.
Camelot Arcade is an excellent addition to his large and varied discography showing a maturity and restraint over his old works. It is 13 tracks of generally 4/4 house tempo with some acid and lots of melody, more geared to in depth listening than the dancefloor, although some tunes such as "Camelot Escalator" and "The Green Night" would also be equally at home in a club. It also covers IDM and Italo Disco type styles and it's worth noting that it also is heavily inspired by medieval themes. something few other contemporary electronic artists have experimented with. It was reviewed postively in Resident Advisor with 3.7/5 and received well by other musicians. It has already had lots of plays on youtube with "Path to the None" already clocking up 11,000 views. This album covers deeper territory usually overlooked by other contemporary musicians who are looking for a quick club hit and will be listened to and continue to sell for many years to come.
