Some Truths aka Ralph Cumbers, aka Bass Clef, breaks a four year hiatus with a new record for Open Hand Real Flames.
The project started with a run of cassette releases for MAGIC + DREAMS, followed by full albums for Mordant Music (Shackleton, Emmplekz) and We Can Elude Control (Jeff Mills, Peder Mannerfelt, Mick Harris) in 2014. These were reviewed or featured in The Wire, Fact, The Quietus and Resident Advisor. There were extensive live shows across the UK and Europe, including supporting Keith Fullerton Whitman, Matmos, 0PN, Neil Landstrumm, and The Bug.
This album was originally recorded in 2010 during a residency at Worm Studios Rotterdam, whose address at the time gives the album it's name, and which has many rare synthesizers some of which originally came from the legendary Steim Studio based in Amsterdam. It’s taken a long time to get it right but it has been worth the wait.
