Udi Naor of BĘÃTFÓØT describes his approach to music as "naive" in that he shuns genres and
focuses on creating music he simply likes and want to play live, leaning into sounds that draw from various rock/acid/techno/punk inspirations and pulsate with raw energy. What connects BĘÃTFÓØT with these 3 collaborators is their commitment to the divine, creating musical experiences that move and transcend.
Gerd Janson opted to remix 'BLÓODFLØW', BĘÃTFÓØT's disco inspired cover of Smog (Bill
Callahan)'s psychedelic folk song, which makes perfect sense for the producer known for his
optimistic sounds. Or:la brings her thoughtful and darker energy to '♛ KIŃG~TRÃSH ♛', using driving percussive elements to create a twisted and beautiful dance floor bomb. Populous' '☯ LĀŸF ☯' , on the other hand, is described by Udi as 'a very fun queer track' which echoes the values that are so important to the BĘÃTFÓØT project and its community.
Udi and Manfredi (DJ Tennis), founder of Life and Death, are long term collaborators and friends who connect in their punk values and commitment to art making. This EP has been in the works for a long, long time and it finally sees a digital release on February 15,2023
