The Strand Cinema', a concept album by Belfast producer and composer Phil Kieran will be released later this year, preceded by a brand new single, 'Atlantic'.

A sold-out album launch on the 4th of March takes place in the 'The Strand', the iconic east Belfast cultural landmark building which gave its name to this musical project. The event will be an audio-visual performance of new music by the Northern Irish DJ and music producer alongside artists from film, animation, architecture, computer science and contemporary dance. The collaborators have interpreted the music into visual art pieces to explore the balance between nature and technology. The Ulster Orchestra will accompany Phil in this one-off, cinematic experience.
As a precursor to the release of the album, the track 'Atlantic' will lead the way as the single to launch the overall project. While most of the album could be described as cross between contemporary classical and experimental electronica, this particular piece stands out as the most dance floor friendly. The work is reminiscent of the beginnings of acid house, crossing into a future dystopia or, possibly, utopia. This is music for the head and the feet.
