The Field EP is the debut release on Vitalik from Barcelona based producer and dj, August Artier. August has released on labels such as RAWAX, Serialism and 2020 Vision's Exit Planet Earth series. He co-hosts the 'Beneath The Surface' show on Openlab Radio with friend and collaborator, Mick Wilson. The Field EP is a two track EP of acid house tracks with solid breakbeat and techno remixes from Iron Curtis, Paul Loraine and Francesco Mami. Artier builds tension with The Field. Panicked acid, frenetic drums and syncopated staccato vocals create an aura of peak time suspense. Iron Curtis's remix is a slow burning, breakbeat behemoth. It stays true to the original but gently teases the elements out over driving broke beats and a bubbling and squishing 303 workout. The Morning After eases the tension with its gently uplifting chord arpeggios. Paul Loraine and Francesco Mami deliver a hypnotic, spaced out, percussive techno jam. A heady mix spacial techno and their signature restraint.
