CoOp Presents are delighted to welcome Mitch von Arx to the label. This Swiss-British producer provides us with an all-new 5-tracker of bruk heat.

This new EP 'Stereograms' follows a series of self-releases, remixes & compositions, and a recent move from London to Lisbon. Still very much in tune with the UK sound, he moves away from the headphone-oriented textures of his 2018 Project Mooncircle album 'Pyramids' to something much more club-focused: 5 bruk-house heaters loaded with low-end, upfront grooves, wavy synths and vox chops.

The new cuts come off the back of Mitch's self-released chugger 'Humble Tumble' which originally caught the ears of CoOp Presents bosses Alex Phountzi and IG Culture, and off the back of his phenomenal remix for another CoOp Presents release, Oliver Night's 'Welcome', which has had support from the likes of house heroes Luke Solomon and Honey Dijon, amongst many others.

In Mitch's words "The EP is a result of soaking up all things Worldwide over the last few years - the festivals (We Out Here, Worldwide Festival), the radio stations (WWFM) and shows - particularly Selectors Assemble and Gilles Peterson's special on "The 20 Broken Beat" essentials. I was like man, this bruk thing is the perfect blend to keep both brain and body happy, and some of the production styles felt close to what got me into making electronic music in the first place, which was cut-up instrumental hip-hop. Also I really like it when some dance grooves are just a little bit out there - but not too much - with healthy doses of swing and syncopation. Kind of like audio puzzles that your head has to solve for your feet to then lock into. After a few loops you're like aaaaaaah yeah I get it! Like those 'magic eye' optical illusions from the 90s - stereograms..."

Having tested live versions of the tracks at the Rare Effect festival in Lisbon as an opening act for Mor Elian and Dubstep pioneer Scuba, at one of the city's key arts spaces Arroz Estúdios (where he is a resident), Mitch continues to develop an improvised hardware set for bruk and beyond.

This 5-tracker is sure to light up dancefloors and remain in crates of the more discerning selectors all Summer long.

'Stereograms' is released digitally worldwide early July 2023.
