London-based, renowned reggae producer, Nick Manasseh, weaves his magic, to deliver two expansive drum and bass pounding dance interpretations of the original.


Gumaye, by Andhanet Equar was recorded by the Sheba Sound team in Mekele, the capital of Tigray in northern Ethiopia in 2013, and originally released on the critically acclaimed ‘Out of Addis’ compilation. A joyful, recording session, with the local ‘Bahal Aderash’ (cultural group) – formally representing the Mekele massive. Watch this space for a pending release of the whole recording session, which blew us all away.
