Lyon-based artist Tauceti has emerged as an intriguing talent in recent years. As a producer, Tauceti leans into the more obscure areas of lustrous techno and hazy ambient. On her four-tracker "47038", she fuses these aesthetics to produce a collection that bridges the dancefloor and introspective listening.

"Minya Konka" opens the EP with gnarly drums and a luminous synthline, oscillating between dense and airy soundscapes. "Minghun" melds droney textures with wintry pads, stirring up a macabre atmosphere. On a driving note, "Plum Blossom" uncoils with rolling kickdrums and aqueous stabs, forming a lithe and limber 4/4 number. The closing tune, "Queqiao", is a beatless slow burner set against a soupy backdrop, pierced with light-sabre-like FX. It summarises Tauceti's polished sound design, which bleeds throughout "47038", and showcases her explorations into dusky, cinematic techno and noise-led sounds.
