Uruguayan producer and DJ Diego Infanzon is on fire. A fixture on Christian Smith's Tronic label who
has also released on Laurent Garnier's Cod3 and Carl Cox's Intec, here he returns to Sous after a
stellar debut on the label last year with his Ohh My Music EP.
Oscuridad Lunar - Spanish for "dark moon" - might be only two tracks long, but it packs plenty of punch.
"La Luna" opens the release with a thumping kick and subtle rattle underneath propelling the track forward.
Rhythmic, hypnotic repeating chords are introduced before a female vocal weaves in and out of the mix like
the moonlight dancing on the water. Dark and enveloping, it's bound to rock any warehouse it's played in.
"Together" is a very different beast; it's a house track with techno in its DNA. The thick beat is still there, but
syncopated beats are brought in to add intrigue before bright keys bubble up through the mix. A throaty male
vocal adds a burst of soul, while filtered, stuttering vocal FX set this one apart from your typical house track.
If "La Luna" is made for the night, "Together", with its high BPM and uplifting vibe, feels perfect for a beach
club on a sunny afternoon.
