In February 2006 The Rice Twins debuted with a 12" split along The Orb on Kompakt Extra. The debut followed by another three records on Kompakt sublabel K2 with timeless works featured on The Kompakt Total-compilations and mix albums by Gui Boratto and Michael Mayer as recent as 2021. After the release of their beautiful cinematic remix of Barbara Morgensterns, Come To Berlin in 2008 Kompakt announced that;

"Currently, the Rice Twins are settled in the studio to record their debut album for Kompakt."

Followed by 16 years of radio silence. Until now!
The Rice Twins is back with a classic repetitive, warm, enfolding track; no breaks, no drops. Built of a constant energetic groove circulating the vocals and melody lines of recently released single LOKATT - Little Rebel, stirring it to similar flavours in the likes of artists such as DJ Koze, Roísín Murphy and Ada. A grown up relaxed soundscape, still exploring that glitch between pop and techno they once was a part of inseminating in the German techno scene.

The 24th of May this year Swedish producer-duo LOKATT celebrates their fourth EP, LITTLE REBEL. The EP will be released in collaboration between their own label Oma Gusti Records and Kranglan Broadcast of Harald Björk. All tracks produced by Johanna and Nina Piroth, with co-production by Barcelona based producer Dinky (Visionquest/Crosstown Rebels).
