Swedish duo LOKATT is back with their fourth EP, Little Rebel. The EP will be released on their own label Oma Gusti in collaboration with Kranglan Broadcast of Harald Björk (Cocoon Recordings). All tracks produced by Johanna and Nina Piroth with co-production by Dinky (Visionquest/Crosstown Rebels).
Little Rebel is about finding your way in a world where norms and structures about how you should be and behave rule. It's about breaking barriers and moving boundaries. To be that playing and exploring child, and to be reminded of that little punk in you, the little rebel.
In April LOKATT released the single Little Rebel along with a remix of old Kompakt veterans The Rice Twins with early support from Axel Boman, Tim Sweeney, Deer Jade and Horse Meat Disco. And recently we got a SOME-tease that MLiR (Studio Barnhus/Shall Not Fade) is working on an upcoming one of Animals and tigers.
LOKATT creates techno from the woods of Sweden inspired by the nature and the surroundings where they live but also with a longing for a faraway place. An atmosphere also shown in their DJ-sets and live performances. In 2015 they released their acclaimed debut record Karg on their own label Oma Gusti, the single The Hill was picked as "one of the best dance tracks of the year" by Swedish National Radio P3. Previous releases of Oma Gusti feature top name artists such as Studio Barnhus, Nathan Fake and Popnoname (Kompakt).
