Per Hammar's Dirty Hands imprint delivers the debut long player, 'Echoes Of A Galaxy', from Pascal Benjamin this May, comprising twelve original compositions from the Dutch artist. Hailing from the Netherlands capital city of Amsterdam, producer and DJ Pascal Benjamin has been releasing his twist on raw, swinging, stripped back House music since 2016 via the likes of SlapFunk, Eastenderz, Constant Sound and Yoyaku's Aku among others. Here though he marks a milestone in his career with the unveiling of his inaugural album, coming via Malmö, Sweden based artist Per Hammar's Dirty Hands imprint. Across the twelve track 'Echoes Of A Galaxy' LP, Pascal Benjamin showcases more of the raw, atmospheric and groove driven style he's become known for over the years, the likes of 'Further Action', 'Elements', 'Ingress', 'Drive' and 'Nebula' employ the airy, ethereal textures, twitchy synth lines, snaking bass grooves and crisp drums that often find their way into Benjamin's production. The album also sees Pascal wander off the beaten track into more experimental realms, opening cut 'Interlude' sets the tone with a hazy ambient feel while 'Life' and closing track 'Moments' embrace a more downtempo aesthetic. The aptly title 'Dub Sky' also leans into Dub Techno influences while 'Last Call', 'Space Technique' and 'Super Pow' encapsulate the essence of classic microhouse through modulating synths and a heavily percussive led feel.
