"Before and after the cure." These words inspired Daniel Lea to name his project "Cura Machines." Following up his debut album NEURO, SUTURE comes as a statement of sonic remedy. Suture refers to the process of stitching together the edges of a wound, to heal fragmented parts and merge them into a cohesive whole. A process so delicate and precise, to ensure each part can seamlessly function. A process captured through intense and dynamic syncopating, bass-heavy rhythms that rupture into our core, and shatter sonic elements into fragments—a chaos of fragments, intricately stitched with melodies. Some of which carry energy and power, while others more fragile and laden with pain. The dissonance reverberates acutely, vibrating through every cell, as each fragment finds its place within the discord. Evolving and transmutating through dissonance and harmony, into a rich tapestry of sound. This dance of chaos and order, pain and recovery, isolation, and division— violently, painfully, delicately and beautifully merging for greater healing and greater unity.
