VOGEL⅃ETTNER is a band consisting of drummer/producer Andreas Lettner and pianist/ keyboardist/instrument builder Georg Vogel. The invitation to the @JazzFestival Saalfelden also marked the beginning of a collaboration, resulting in the band's first album release, "Ohhnett," on October 11th, 2024, under JW Records. Rooted in Austrian folk and classical music, our band's sound transcends genres, blending elements of Jazz, improvised music with irresistible grooves. Our compositions are enriched with intricate melodies inspired by the 31-tonality scale, creating a unique sonic landscape. The release of our new album "Ohhnett" marks the culmination of a two- year creative journey. Throughout this period, we've meticulously crafted a collection of versatile music that reflects our diverse influences and experiences. Spontaneous improvised passages have been skillfully rearranged and recomposed, infusing each track with renewed vitality and depth. What truly sets this album apart is the incorporation of the unique sound of the Clavitone, adding an extra dimension to our sonic palette. "Ohhnett" invites listeners on a captivating musical odyssey, where tradition meets innovation, and every note tells a story.
