Chlorine Mist is Dylan Reznick. As one half of production duo Friendzone he was responsible for pioneering the cloud rap movement, producing for Main Attrakionz, Yung Lean and most notably A$AP Rocky on early hit single 'Fashion KIlla', as well as a steady stream of instrumentals leading to the critically acclaimed Friendzone long player 'DX'. Cited as an influence by countless producers and highly respected amongst hip hop's elite, Friendzone's impact was brought further into focus earlier this year with the tragic and untimely passing of Dylan's musical partner James Laurence.
On June 30th Donky Pitch return from a period in the wilderness to bring the four track debut EP from LA based producer Chlorine Mist. At it's heart, the 'Reset' EP is a melodically driven pop record, awash with dreamy synths and rich instrumentation. Underpinned by detailed percussion there are nods to hip hop, prog and classical - all brought together perfectly with an experimental and unique approach.
Fader premiere
Support from Mike Paradinas (Planet Mu), Claude Speeed (Lucky Me/Planet Mu), All City Records
Support for Friendzone from Pitchfork, FACT, Fader, Quietus, Hypebeast, XXL mag
''Orchestral, synth-drenched tour de force'' Fact
"Undeniably gorgeous" The Quietus
