On May 20th Donky Pitch release ‘Counter Real’- the debut album from Mount Bank. Following on from2015's ‘Island Life’ EP, ‘Counter Real’ further explores the ground between experimental electronic music and modern classical. With a rich orchestration of piano, strings, synths, vocals (fromEva Bowan) and brass, alongside intricate percussive movements, he has created an album of melodic ambience, depth and drama.
Mount Bank is thesolo project ofBrighton’sSamuel Organ, focusing on his passion for experimental electronic music and modern classical. With only two EPs to his name he has quickly pickedup support on BBC radio from Gilles Peterson and Mary Anne Hobbs, as well asThe Fader & Red Bull Music Academy. Outside of this solo project he is a member of thePhysics House Band,playing shows across Europe with acts like Jaga Jazzist, Deerhoof and Alt J. As aclassically trained percussionisthe has performed in orchestras and jazz ensembles, as a DJ he has supported Bonobo, Machinedrum, Slugabed and Flume. He also has adegree in Professional Musicianship, achieved before his 18th birthday.
