Dj Vague, aka Helix (Night Slugs) brings us 'Restoring Nature' a sub heavy, grimey techno club smasher for the third chapter on Anarchostar. Dj Vague playfully uses the drum machine as the focal point, and gears every track for the dancefloor as well as the dj. Along with the original tracks we have Fade To Mind's latest signee and protege 'Leonce' bringing a dark and sexy slowed down house remix. Adding Leonce to the end with his soulful mechanics was just a cherry on top as these two had at one point lived and worked together in Atlanta. We're expecting reviews & Features from XLR8R, Dawpers, RA, Thump, Wasabeat Japan, as well as a music video premiere from London's Dezeen Mag.
The past month or two 'Restoring Nature' has been playing non stop on RinseFM and Radar in France and London, and has been making its rounds at Fabric. Dj Support from Bok Bok, Teki Latex, Mumdance, Maelstrom, M.E.S.H. and even leftfield acts like CO-LA from OneohTrixPoint Never's Software label. We began to curate the release with Dj Vague around a year ago in Atlanta. Sifting through a large stack of demos I could have easily just slapped together a long album of Dj Vague stuff, but I wanted to make sure this release worked as a solid statement of current Club & Techno sounds in America.
