"After the wigged-out vocal madness of the first two Jimi Tenor releases, Sahko’s housier imprint Puu comes back with a doublepack of mixed Chicago and Detroit vibes. The first twelve offers three distinctly Motor City styled work-ou ts ranging from the fucked-to-the-max rhythms of “Raisio” to the ambient beauty of “Cosa Nostra”. The second twelve, on the other hand, heads to Chicago for inspiration and the resultis three laid back deep house grooves. “Late Nite Sunday” wanders around in a Mr Fingers state of mind while “One Way To Go” throws some cool pianos over a stripped-down rhythm track. However, it’s the final cut “Night In Motion” that really does the damage here, coming across like Chez’n’Ron’s dub of Terrence FM’s Prescription goodie. Well worth the search."
