Mythstery kicks off their 10th year in the game with a release from cult Polish producer Two Ends.
Known amongst a handful of dj cognescenti for his releases on Planet Trip and Shades Of Sound, his latest "For The Love Of It" EP was convinced during a stay on the Isle of Wight. Touching on boogie funk, electro, balearic and krautrock-inspired synth influences, there is a satisfying simplicity to his production, which feels both fresh and familiar at the same time, grooving weightlessly with clear lines and strong melodies, both dance floor and home-listening friendly.
It's no surprise therefore that he has found favor on NTS radio, with plays from stalwart hosts Macca, Ross Allen and LDLDN, and it was also via this route that he found his way to label head Mr Beatnick, who rounds off the ep with one of his best executed remixes yet, turning debut single "Whitewater" into a soaring dancefloor dub, with a dark 80s feel.
Preferring anonymity and obscurity to the over-sharing and fist-pumping so prevalent in so much of todays DJ game, of the release, Two Ends says simply;
"This EP is dedicated to generations of self-taught artists making music for the love of it."
