Spoil, a collaborative group featuring Rosa Anschütz on vocals, Jonas Yamer on bass, and Till Funke on guitar, releases its debut on Molten Moods. This long-running collaboration has evolved over the years, being Anschütz's first-ever collaboration and a nostalgic journey for all members. Like a garden that has grown over time, the tracks have been carefully refined and expanded by Funke and Yamer, blending guitar, layered effects, and eerie modular synth textures, running Anschütz's evocative voice through tape delay, and adding heavy, analog, stripped-down electronic beats alongside often melodic basslines. Over the years, they have continuously shaped and reshaped the production, ultimately layering in live drums. The lyrics by Anschütz capture the raw essence of human fragility, obsession, and primal instincts, unearthing the deeper layers of human experience. Fragmented yet deliberate, they paint visceral emotional landscapes, evoking an intensity that feels both restrained and haunting. Some of the recordings date back 10 years, featuring Anschütz's younger, more fragile voice, juxtaposed with recent recordings of her as a confident vocalist today.
