It starts like this… There are two French boys, Tom and Antoine who live in a digital village called Plaisance, a spot somewhere between a dusty Chicago record bin and a corner of a Parisian housewarming party. The village isn't on any map, but if you listen closely you can hear a low-end thump and a crackle of vinyl somewhere in the air. They are beat-makers and their EP is called Coldie. Afterhours is the opener and it's got a kick that walks with purpose and a little happy funk smile on its face. They had a friend help with that one, Théo Boero, who slipped in a bassline so smooth you barely noticed it was running the show. Then comes Coldie, the title track. A little cooler in tone, a little deeper in vibe. It's got a polished house glow, like Chicago and New York had a sleepover and shared experiences. At the heart of this one is Ua's voice, coming in like a whisper behind the curtain. She doesn't shout, she suggests. Finally, I Want You More. There's a heavy but kind kick drum laying the ground, while the chords appear with something that feels familiar, but twisted just enough to feel new. It's house music, but with some secrets. Over at Apparel Music they heard this whole story and decided it fit perfectly in the EXTRA catalogue, so they stamped it APDEXTRA057 and circled the 26th of September 2025. Not as a fairy tale, but as something you can actually dance to, this EP is about deep kicks, funky feels, and a bit of that French charm.
