We couldn't be more excited (and proud) that Joel "Mister Westcoast" Sarakula felt inspired to write an exclusive track just for our compilation. "Soft Focus", the latest album by the Australian born London resident and multi instrumentalist, is his 9th, a mid-career album spanning his many influences and genres including soft rock, funk, soul and smooth pop, unified with love under a truly 'soft' aesthetic. Highlights include the two Shawn Lee (of Young Gun Silver Fox fame) produced tracks "I'll Get By Without You" and "Telephone Calls". Sarakula is a devotée of soulful soft-rock and while comparisons will be made with contemporaries like Drugdealer, Benny Sings and Prep, you'll also find echoes of icons Ned Doheny, Boz Scaggs, Todd Rundgren and Michael Franks in his work.
