12inch ---- JPY

Set 3 from Modified Man brings another diverse bunch of tracks together with bubbling basslines, sizzling, expansive synth sounds and heavy, broken and percussive beats.

Blame's On You Bruv, combines their signature synth bounce with broken beats via some classic UK two-step vibes, and is the first time we've heard a (human) voice on their records.

Glass Army is way more direct, bringing grouchy beats and bass up to a euphoric disco/house jam before delivering a more emotional final punch.

Hear Me Calling is 808 gospel music, still nodding at the duo's broken beat influences. Big, bass heavy, uplifting dance music.

The rest of the EP continues to deliver the bizarre twists and turns, and sense of humour we've come to expect from the South London pair. Atmospheric, spacious and jazz influenced in equal measures.

Set 3? Did I miss Set 2. Damn! This EP continues in the same heavyweight vein as what came before. A diverse mix of influences, vibes and tempos, but all sounding tight.
Dancefloors are gonna be rocking to this one for a long time to come

TRISTAN JONG
Glass Army and Sergio Arpeggio are the cuts for me.
Amazing forward thinking sounds!

MICKEY JUKES / BRIGHTON FM
I'm a big Adam and Dave fan too. Had them both down to of a live session for us a couple weeks ago and they supported, Mildlife for us too. Anything Modified Man and anything Albert's Favourites!

BILLY SCURRY
Amazing tour de force following in the footsteps of Kaidi Tatham, Kirk De Giorgio and 4Hero in delivering an ep which encompasses all that is the sound of London. Whilst Glass Army will be the dancefloor killer for me, I can nearly visualise most of these tracks in a Guy Ritchie movie.. Sergio Arpeggio is absolute fire!

SIMON / BASIC SOUL
6 class tracks but what else would you expect from these guys. Another classic in the making.

JUSTIN PENNY / BOX FREQUENCY
Wow! Glass Army is for me, a real killer! Great beats, bass and then some St Germain type noodling - then....wallop! The track goes up 3 notches with badly matched beats and off we go! Very original and sounds like I mixed it (I am sure I am not alone there?) Hear me Calling is another killer for me - electro with added noodles which then turns into a 909 driven houser! Great stuff! Sergio Arpeggio rounds things off nicely for me.

ROBOT 84 / SCOTT FERGUSON
Love it! Killer release all the tracks very different but all good..., Blame it on bruv is the one for me, feelin the broken beats with the kinda of future garage vibe!!!

PETER OAKDEN / 6TH BORO PROJECT
