Diagonal celebrates 13 years in business via a 4 x 12” run featuring label stalwarts and influential collaborators. This is LP3, the third in the series. Like LP 1, 2 & 3 before it, this 12” comes with a coloured, elastic H band. All four LPs will be accompanied by these meaning customers can combine the records and complete their own 4 x 12” set!
LP4, the final chapter in the “13” series welcomes the return of several Diagonal regulars. Not Waving delivers an elegant ambient piece. EVOL and L/F/D/M embody the sound of the label as much as anybody else and they do not disappoint here. Dale Cornish, occasional Powell collaborator, makes his Diagonal debut with a club track inspired by fabled early label parties. Last but definitely not least, James Ruskin, UK techno grandee, provides a remix of several Russell Haswell tracks in one which sounds like peak Underground Resistance!

BPM144、UKテクノ大御所James RuskinによるRussell Haswell トラックの鋼のようなマシーンビートによるエレクトロニック・テクノ・エクスペリメンタル・リミックスA1「Russell Haswell - Various Recordings (James Ruskin Amalgamation) 」（sample1）が強力。BPM136、Diagonalを体現するL/F/D/M によるメディテーショナルな7分越え催眠的インダストリアル・ダークウェイヴ・アシッドA2「Non Dea」、Not Wavingによるノンビートながらもグルーヴを感じさせてくれるエレガント・アンビエントB1「Rolling In Thoughts」も非常に心地いい。Powellとのコラボレーションでも知られるDale CornishによるBPM120、電化ショック・リディム・トリッピンB2「Back In The Room」(sample2）も極上。Diagonalを体現するEVOLによるねじれまくったバネのような妙チキリンエレクトロニック・ピンポン球グルーヴB3「Wabbit Trax 7」（sample３）も面白い。
このコンピレーションは、70枚のリリースを経たレーベルの進化と今後の方向性を反映したもので、エレクトロニック・エクスペリメンタル・アヴァンギャルド、ノイズ、コンピューターサウンズ電子音楽、フロアミュージック・テクノとの境界線、狭間を前衛的独自に探求するDiagonalならではの個性が爆発した絶品５トラックを収録。
