"Four Secret Weapons for the Night" would certainly have been a suitable title for Polyfon's catalog no. 11. But that seemed a bit exaggerative to the always restrained label activists from Thuringia's mini-metropolis of Erfurt. Although the name would have been justified in any case, in the end the perceived 12,000 years of dance floor experience of the involved protagonists probably named the EP. The result is absolutely fresh without question.
Tino Bohne and Benjamin Brunn aka The Hangout Project kick off the mini-compilation with "I'm crazy about you", a charming electronic track, that convinces with a beautiful and subtly used vocal sample as well as a surprisingly pushing 4/4-bass line. Last-mentioned is a brief reminder that we are in this world for dancing.
The journey continues with Le Rubrique's adventures in the "Bar Celona". Whether it's located in Catalonia or Hesse, nobody knows. However, it's written in the key of Frankfurt and makes the Bembels shake.
Kez YM doesn't care in which region or galaxy he is. With "CL05VER06" he lets melt down space and time on every dance floor left and right of the Milky Way in a manner how most likely the grand masters in Michigan use to do.
In the end everyone should know that Johannes Albert has his very own "Style of House". Whether in the Waldschaenke Dornheim or in the Boiler Room Amsterdam! Check!
