Founded on the back of the Jazz Cafe Wah Wah club sessions in 1999, Wah Wah 45s was created to follow the same spirit by combining rare nuggets with brand new cuts. Nearly seven years, and several hundred club nights later, we proudly present our first compilation. Focusing mainly on the output of the current crop of fresh musicians and producers we've been working with, this compilation will take you from Bergen to Bristol, via Budapest, and beyond!
Over the past few years we've been lucky enough to hook up with some amazingly talented and hard working people. So, on this compilation you'll find classics from NYC soul diva Alison Crockett, and South London's Rosie Brown, as well as home grown future superstars Aaron Jerome, Max Cole, Belleruche and Jamie Finlay. Elsewhere, you'll discover Scandinavian gems from Espen Horne and 12th Floor, plus brand new cuts from Rob Mullender and Talc. And that's only half the story.
We wanted to bring you some of the old skool nuggets too, but sadly the corporate hordes wanted the usual king's ransom! The fifteen tracks we offer here for your aural pleasure are very special indeed, and we are proud to showcase such diverse and committed musicians in an age of manufactured, so-called 'reality', nonsense.'
