As a treat for the last Bank Holiday weekend of the Summer, we have a little something for you to increase that heat. The third digi-single from Children of Zeus' debut album, 'Travel Light', following 'Slow Down' and 'All On You'.
This time round, we're kicking up the tempo a little, with a remix from Manny legend, Zed Bias. His trademark classic UKG vibes engulf the album's bruk-closer, 'Vibrations', in his own inimitable style. Guaranteed solid dancefloor fire, and hot on the heels of Zed's recent collaboration, 'Say It', with child of Zeus, Tyler Daley. Originally produced by K15, there's an edit of the original version of 'Vibrations' included on this single also.
It's only been a month since the release of 'Travel Light', but it's fair to say that the Mancunian duo's debut album has been pretty well received...
Already heralded as "album of the year" by many, it's received love far & wide from the likes of Jazzy Jeff, Mr Scruff, Goldie, DJ Spinna, Jazzie B, Trevor Nelson, Pharoahe Monch, Marc Mac, Chase & Status, Mistajam, Ace, Shy FX, Gilles Peterson, Dev, Toddla T, Benji B, The Nextmen, Twin B, Ms Dynamite, DJ MK & Shortee Blitz, Huey Morgan, Maverick Sabre, Ronnie Herel, Sarah Love, Becca D, Alex Nut, Jamz Supernova and Shy One, to name just a few.
Just in the past month, they've appeared live on Boiler Room in Valencia, Beats 1, BBC 1Xtra, Rinse FM, NTS, Mi-Soul and Fubar Radio, and had glowing reviews & features in OkayPlayer, Nation Of Billions, Trench, Clash, Mixmag, Complex, Ambrosia For Heads, Red Bull, Evening Standard, DJ Mag, RWD, Bklyn Music, Earmilk, Vinyl Factory, Line Of Best Fit and Music Is My Sanctuary, just for starters.
Meanwhile, Tyler Daley and Konny Kon continue performing shows and festivals across Europe all over the Summer, including the opening amphitheater concert at Outlook in Croatia with Bonobo, Wiley & Rodigan, and the Travel Light Tour is set to kick off all across the UK in November.
The Summer of Zeus continues on. To quote Konny Kon, "You see these Vibrations? They came from the soul..."
