スピリチュアル・メロウ、錬金術のようにアンサンブル織り成される牧歌的フォーキーなソフト・サイケデリック静謐なるメディテーショナル・モダンジャズ内省宇宙。Don Leisureとの共作「Beyond The Midnight Sun」も素晴らしかったですが、今作「The Liminality of Her」では、バンド編成（ハープ、ベース、ドラム、パーカッション、フルート、ヴォーカル）でのアンサンブル演奏によって、Dorothy Ashby、Alice Coltrane等の先人たちの築き上げた世界観を未来に向けて、より彼女の精神世界宇宙をフューチャー探求した、たおやかでしなやかな桃源郷のような世界観がソウルフル/ジャズ/フュージョニック丁寧に構築されている。全10曲を収録。彼女はこれまで、自身のバンドをはじめ、Matthew Halsall、Rebecca Vasmund, DJ Yoda and Chip Wickham（この新プロジェクトにも参加）らと大規模なツアーを行い、Jazzman Recordsから3枚のソロ・アルバムをリリースしてきたが、Don Leisureとの共作「Beyond The Midnight Sun」をFirst Wordからリリースしたことがきっかけで、First Wordの仲間入りを果たしての新作アルバム・リリースとなった。推薦盤とさせていただきます。 (コンピューマ)

Brownswood、Tru Thoughtsからの2枚のアルバム・リリースでも知られるUKブライトンAnushkaのメンバーにして期待のソウル・シンガーソングライターVictoria Portによる待望ソロデビューEP「Did It Again」がFirst Wordより満を辞してリリースされた。60’sソウル愛、しなやかで慈愛にも満ち溢れる極上ネオ・ソウル名作EP。
プロデュースはUKニュージャズ・シーンでも活躍するマルチ・インストゥルメンタル奏者HemaiとShevlaneが担当、全曲をヴィクトリア本人と、彼女の信頼するJNR Williams、Dominic Martin、L.S.A.のチームが書き下ろしている。
彼女の最初のソロ・シングルA1「Cigarette」（sample1）は、BBC 6 MusicのCerys Matthews & Huey Morgan、Gilles Peterson（Worldwide FM）、Mi-Soul Radio（'One To Watch'）、Dan Digs（NPR Music）、Tony Minvielle（Jazz FM）、Somewhere Soul、Soho Radio、Totally Wiredからサポートを受けて注目を集めた。美しく爽快ソウルフルA2「Haunting」（sample2）、ドミニカ人である祖母の影響からのルーツも感じさせれくれるカリビアンR&BソウルB1「Did It Again」(sample3）、スロージャム浮遊するB2「Keep Love For Me」もエレガント。 (コンピューマ)
